biography

i've been interested in photography as a hobby ever since i was very young when i received a polaroid camera from my grandparents for christmas. holiday snaps and scenery followed. my interest only truly grew when i did my design a'level and i had my first experience of using slr cameras and developing my own prints in a dark room.

despite an obvious interest then, it took another ten years to grasp the bull by the horns. when i visited australia and hong kong with my now wife, we could barely walk five paces without me snapping at the rich pickings available.

now my camera goes everywhere with me, i look for an image in everything in everyday life. it is absolutely my passion.

whilst getting embroiled in the photography bug, i've also found myself taking on art commissions in acrylic for friends, friends of friends and so on. some examples can also be found on this site.
